📸 BUILD & BREAK CREW AND SUPPLIER SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Thank you for being a part of Balad Beast 2025. To ensure a secure and respectful environment for everyone involved, please adhere to the following social media guidelines: Any violation of these policies will result in immediate consequences including up to removal from the festival grounds and credentials deactivated.

• Official messaging can only be communicated by MDLBEAST through their official social media pages and channels. It is prohibited to share any pictures, videos, or information that has not been officially released to the public.
• Service Providers, Suppliers & Contractors shall not, directly or indirectly, either personally or through others, communicate with, give interviews, and/or provide statements to any member of the media, including without limitation any print, broadcast, electronic, internet based media, social based media organizations (including without limitation, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram) concerning MDLBEAST, Balad Beast & their suppliers for which services are being provided.
  The Company may be referred to only with the written approval of MDLBEAST's Marketing and PR department.
• Any service provider contracted for Balad Beast 2025 is expected to abide by the MDLBEAST code of conduct.
• Do not share any videos or photos of your build and break credentials, badges or accreditation collection tickets on any social media platforms or through any other communication methods. Violation of this policy may lead to immediate removal from festival and credential deactivation.
• Any on-site incidents should be reported to dispatch (+966 50 955 7433 or radio DISPATCH channel) immediately. Do not share or post any material on social channels or any other method of communications related to such incidents.

This Media policy is effective as of 3 November, 2024 until the conclusion of the break period on 5 January, 2025.

Please note that this social media policy is subject to change without prior notice, and its duration may be extended at the discretion of MDLBEAST.

📸 SHOW DAY CREW AND SUPPLIER SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Suppliers are encouraged to post positively on social media about the festival, their participation and live coverage. However, photos are not permitted in any back of house areas.

In doing so, the following should be considered:

• Supplier social handles should be provided to the MDLBEAST Press Office team, so that they can follow you from the official accounts
• Suppliers are encouraged to follow the official MDLBEAST handles in order to remain up to speed with the latest news and developments:

When posting content from the festival, please consider the following:

Cultural Sensitivities

• Saudi people are welcoming and pride themselves in being hospitable. Many are family oriented, and conservative. Suppliers are asked to be considerate when posting social media (or any public) content.
• Alcoholic beverages are forbidden and not offered in the Kingdom. It is best to avoid discussing this topic, or other activities that may provoke controversy, publicly or in closed meetings.
• Women in Saudi, local and expat, are expected to dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered in public places. As such, please avoid posting content of women who aren’t dressed accordingly.
• Exercise caution when following other social media accounts to ensure that no controversial individuals or organizations are followed and therefore linked to Balad Beast 2025.
• Be aware of any Islamic holidays or daily moments, including prayer times to ensure cultural compliance i.e. turn off music during call to prayer.

Please avoid posting the following content:

• Artists / celebrities if they are not on stage performing
• Individual images of fans without their approval
• Alcohol / drugs consumption or abuse – whether yourself or of others
• Physical and verbal disagreements
• Public display of affection
• Politically sensitive topics

And finally, please include the following MDLBEAST hashtags so we can find – and more importantly – share your great content:

Your role at Balad Beast

You must not refer to yourself as partner or sponsor to MDLBEAST or the festival. For example, “are you at Balad Beast? Head over to the food court and grab a pizza with us!” NOT “this weekend, we’re delighted to announce our official partnership with Balad Beast!”

Crisis

Should any crisis such as artist illness, power cuts, weather conditions occur within the timeframe of which you are working with or represent MDLBEAST, refrain from making any public statements on any media channel. Ensure to align and approve statements with MDLBEAST crisis/comms team accordingly.

Reposting

• Suppliers are encouraged to repost content from the official @MDLBEAST and @balad.beast handles, and use our official hashtags, particularly if posting original content.
• Avoid reposting any content from unreliable sources, and only repost from official and approved accounts.

Replying

For any questions or queries from your followers related to the festival, please direct them to the official MDLBEAST social media team by replying with: “Thank you for your query. Please contact @MDLBEAST or @Balad.Beast for more information on this matter”.

Website

STICK to the above dos & don’ts. Always Credit MDLBEAST Balad Beast for photographs.

Promotional Filming (including professional crew & cameras)

If a supplier wishes to film a promotional video for their products, brand, or experience in partnership with MDLB SS24, request is to be shared with MDLBEAST for approval to film.

Final Video will also have to run by MDLBEAST for approval before posting.

Drones

MDLBEAST holds exclusive rights to drone usage and permits for Balad Beast 24.

Artists & artist media attending the festival are not permitted to use drones at any time.

Operating unauthorized drones is strictly prohibited within or around the festival grounds under any circumstance. Any violation will result in immediate intervention by the appropriate legal authorities.
